Devoted followers of the pop star are demanding that a man who breached a fence and grabbed the actress during the recent Wicked: For Good launch be detained or deported from Singapore.

A widely shared clip depicts the Australian man bypassing camera operators and lunging at Grande while the cast proceeded down a promenade flanked by onlookers.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo quickly wrested the shocked star away from Mr Wen, who was seen being escorted out of the gathering by guards.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "released after being detained", though official papers revealed that he was set to be present on the next day. It is uncertain if he was formally accused.

Record of Disruptions

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Troll Most Hated", has disrupted a concert or event. His Instagram profile includes videos of him disrupting other high-profile occasions, including jumping on stage at the pop singer's Sydney performance in earlier this year and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers performance in the same location last year.

"There needs to be action applied against him as this is clearly a criminal offence," stated an Instagram follower, in a reply to a video Mr Wen posted of his behavior.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" one Instagram user remarked.

Followers Voice Worry Over Ariana's Safety

Several followers criticized Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had discussed suffering from PTSD after a devastating incident at the end of her spring 2017 concert in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and injuring hundreds.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" commented a further response on Instagram.

Some fans also criticised guards at the Thursday event for not being vigilant enough; while different individuals requested digital services to block Mr Wen's content.

Aftermath and Event Details

In footage circulating online, Grande looked startled when she was approached by the intruder. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen comforting her while Mr Wen was removed by staff.

Grande has not commented on the event, and the premiere activities continued without further issues.

Many of attendees had gathered in a mass of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good regional debut in a Singapore venue, including several who had queued for as long as a significant duration before it commenced.

The motion picture, to be premiered on the 21st of November, is the sequel of a dual interpretation of the well-known stage musical Wicked, which revolves around the surprising friendship between two distinct sorceresses.

The musical itself is a derivative of the twentieth-century children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the good witch Glinda, was decked out in a rosé glittering gown at the gathering while Erivo, who portrays the Elphaba, wore a black tube gown embroidered with roses.

They were accompanied by co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the top-earning movie of last year in the UK, and earned 10 Oscar nominations, earning two for best costume and set decoration.
