Recent details have emerged about the tragic passing of acclaimed filmmaker Rob Reiner and artist Michele Singer Reiner, whose bodies were found at their residence home on Sunday.

The Discovery

A source indicates citing a confidential source, a practitioner scheduled for an appointment initially became concerned after failing to get inside the residence. The therapist then reached out to the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, who resides in the vicinity.

After gaining access to the home, Romy discovered her father's body. Reports state she then fled the house in anguish, unaware at that moment that her mother's body was there as well. Her roommate who had gone with her promptly called 911. Afterward, first responders discovered Michele Singer Reiner's body.

Criminal Developments

The police have charged the couple's 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, with two counts of murder in the first degree, including the charge related to a weapon, said to be a knife. He is currently detained and denied bail.

Correcting the Record

The confidential informant questioned several initial details. The source indicated that while Romy Reiner told first responders that her brother Nick resided in a guesthouse on the grounds, she did not point to him as a person of interest at that juncture.

Furthermore refuted widely reported suggestions that Rob and Michele Singer Reiner had been unusually "worried" about Nick's actions in the weeks leading up to the incident. The source claimed the family was "used to working through [Nick's] problems together."

This correction applies to accounts of reportedly "erratic" behavior by Nick at a event held by Conan O'Brien on the night before the discovery. Nick Reiner was apprehended at around 9:30 p.m. on Sunday in the neighbourhood of Exposition Park, about 15 miles from the scene. He was due to appear in court on Tuesday, but his legal counsel, Alan Jackson, said his client had not been medically cleared and would be unable to attend until Wednesday or later.
